Flights in HEMS

 The administration of flights is carried out according the classification below:

Primary flight/flight HEMS (primary flight being operated after calling 155)
II

Primary flight/flight HEMS (primary flights being operated in terrain or by ambulance car in terrain after request of ground base crew EMS. This means that the patient is not transported from the medical centre, eg. flight being operated to car incidence or transport of injured person with acute myocardial infarction, which is indicated by ground base crew etc.)
III
H2
Immediate secondary flight/flight HEMS (urgent transport of injured person from medical centre to workplace of higher type; the patient is picked up in medical centre or transported by helicopter to ground base crew EMS, but the medical centre is the one who is asking for the transport, e.g. acute myocardial infarction if the patient is located at medical clinic or in-patient ward of the hospital)

Secondary flight/emergency flight (scheduled transport of patients to higher workplace)
V

Secondary flight/emergency flight (transport of patient from higher workplace to after treatment, e.g. after stabilization in trauma centre transport to spinal unit)

H1
Other flights/flights HEMS (if there is a need for helicopter for transport of medical person or medical material, it is assumed that the flight is performed in order to save human life)

Other flights/flights HEMS (flights in order to cooperate between integrated rescue system and while the critical situation was announced, e.g. co-operation trainings, floods, technical rescue etc.)
